Are the pheasants wild?
All of our Birds are wild. We shot approximately 1200 wild pheasants last year!
Are the hunts guided?
Yes, we do accompany our guest through the fields. We try to make it just like hunting with a group of good friends.
Can we bring our own dogs?
Yes, we would love for you to bring your dogs. As long as you can keep control of your dog at all times. Check cord or E collar recommended.
Is there a place to keep my dogs?
Yes, we have a heated dog room. We do have extra crates/kennels so you can leave yours in your vehicle.
How far are the fields from the Lodge?
The closest fields are right out the front door. Our hunting grounds cover approximately 5 square miles!
Do we drive our own vehicles through the fields?
Yes, although we can accommodate you if you do not have a suitable vehicle. We have found that it is most comfortable for our guest to have all their gear in their own vehicle and then follow us around.
What is the terrain?
We hunt a variety of different fields. Some are row crops with a nice lane to walk through. Others are sloughs and cattails, were there are no trails and you must bust thru the cover. Just about every field has an easier option, if someone has trouble walking.
Do you post the fields or use blockers?
Yes, South Dakota pheasants love to run, so we block just about every field we hunt.
What are the rooms like?
Most rooms have three twin beds, the biggest room has 6 beds.
Will we be the only group hunting?
Yes, we have over 3,500 acres of private land. Our land has been groomed for pheasant hunting for the last 20 years. It consists of food plots, which are next to cover and near water.
